Bucket elevators are used for the vertical transport of aggregates such as gravel, carbonate, lime, limestone, sand, minerals and similar materials both dry and wet, dusty, abrasive, non-packing which have particles up to 50 mm in size or sharp edges alive and temperatures up to 200 °C.

They are widely used in dust storage and handling systems, concrete mixing plants, cement, lime and plaster factories, premixed construction plants and bituminous conglomerate (filler) plants.
